Blended learning—once met with hesitation—has emerged as the future of education. The shift toward integrating face-to-face and online instruction gained momentum during the pandemic and is now widely accepted for its flexibility, inclusivity, and learner-centered approach.
Recognizing these developments, Colegio de San Juan de Letran is implementing a Hybrid Teaching-Learning Modality across all academic levels starting Academic Year 2025–2026.
“This modality reinforces the Colegio’s commitment to flexible, learner-centered education through hybrid teaching-learning suited to each academic level,” said Prof. Danilo K. Villena, Ph.D., vice-president for Academic Affairs. “It adapts to the evolving educational landscape and supports inclusive and resilient learning opportunities.”
Aligned with Letran’s pursuit of quality, technology-integrated education, the hybrid model combines digital innovation with meaningful face-to-face engagement: The Elementary and Junior High School (EJHS) and Senior High School (SHS) departments will continue their current modalities: face-to-face classes from Monday to Thursday, and online learning or academic-related activities every Friday.
The Collegiate Department will begin with fully face-to-face sessions from August 11 to 30, followed by the full implementation of hybrid modality starting September 1, 2025.
Monday–Tuesday: Online classes
Wednesday–Thursday: Onsite / Face-to-Face classes
Friday–Saturday: Alternating weekly schedule (online and onsite), and reserved time for laboratories, industry-led sessions, consultations, tutorials, and faculty development.
This approach ensures that every Letranite experiences a flexible, relevant, and future-ready education.
