Authorities are conducting a manhunt for a man who allegedly shot his drinking buddy following a heated argument in Antipolo City, Rizal, on Friday night, July 18.
The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspect as Marlon Malone, 31. The incident was reported early Saturday, July 19.
According to authorities, at around 10:30 p.m., the suspect and the victim, Rodel Yanson, 37, were having a drinking session in Barangay San Isidro when they engaged in a heated argument.
During the altercation, the suspect allegedly drew an improvised firearm and shot the victim once in the nape before fleeing.
The victim was rushed to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center where he is now undergoing treatment.
Personnel from the Antipolo City Component Police Station (CCPS), led by Lt. Col. Jaime Pederio Jr., launched an initial pursuit operation but failed to find the suspect.
Antipolo CCPS continued the manhunt while preparing the necessary documents for filing of appropriate charges.
