CEBU CITY – A Grade 10 student yielded packs of suspected shabu worth more than P6 million when he was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Inabanga, Bohol.
Police identified the suspect as Joshua Cabido, 22, a resident of Barangay Mantatao, Calape, Bohol.
Cabido was arrested at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, in Barangay Tungod.
The contraband seized from the suspect weighed one kilo with an estimated value of P6.8 million, police said.
The Drug Enforcement Units of the Inabanga Police Station and Bohol Police Provincial Office started monitoring Cabido when they received information that a drug personality arrived in Inabanga.
Through monitoring and background investigation, police learned that the drug personality was Cabido, who was accused of supplying illegal drugs in Bohol.
After a two-week surveillance, a buy-bust operation was launched that led to the suspect’s arrest, police said.
Police said the suspect was capable of disposing of a kilo of shabu a week.
The suspect’s alleged source of illegal drugs was a certain “Tsoy-tsoy,” police said.
Police said the suspect disclosed drug personalities who are now subjects of follow-up investigations.
