NCRPO: P21.7 M worth of shabu seized in Pasig City buy-bust
Anti-illegal drugs operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized around P21.7 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust in Pasig City, a police official said.
NCRPO director Maj. Gen. Anthony A. Aberin said the 25-year old suspect yielded around 3.2 kilos of shabu after the arrest was announced during the buy-bust along Kenneth Road, Barangay Pinagbuhatan late Wednesday night.
“This arrest reaffirms our commitment to an intelligence-driven and procedure-based anti-illegal drug campaign. With relentless anti-drug operations and swift police action, our objective is to remove the illegal drug menace in Metro Manila with the help of partner-agencies and the community,” said Aberin.
Seized during the operation were two knot-tied plastic bags and three vacuum-sealed packs containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu.
Also recovered were the marked buy-bust money—comprising one genuine ₱1,000 bill and 99 boodle bills—a black eco bag, a cell phone, a white motorcycle, a black backpack, and two digital weighing scales.
Aberin said arrested suspect is now in police custody, pending documentation and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
