Sandoval assured residents that the city is fully prepared to respond to any emergency, emphasizing the importance of unity and community cooperation in times of disaster.
In times like these, we are able to show the true spirit of bayanihan—our unity for the welfare of everyone. All safety equipment needed during disasters has been prepared, along with our disaster response personnel, to ensure the protection of every Malabueno),” she said.
We are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Crising and its potential effects on our city. We urge everyone to cooperate, stay alert, and be prepared to help ensure swift and effective operations, as well as your safety),” Sandoval added.
On Thursday, July 17, the mayor met with the city’s emergency response units—including the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), other local agencies, and departments—to finalize action plans and ensure smooth coordination.
MDRRMO chief Roderick Tongol confirmed that the city’s Command and Communication Center (MCCC) remains fully operational, equipped with advanced monitoring systems to track real-time weather conditions.

Disaster response councils in all 21 barangays have also convened to review emergency protocols and readiness on the ground.
As part of the city's preparation, the MDRRMO has updated its list of flood-prone areas and identified potential evacuees to expedite preemptive evacuations if needed.
Rescue vehicles, boats, relief goods, emergency power and water supplies, and communication equipment have been prepositioned and are on standby.
According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), a total of 47 evacuation centers have been readied to shelter affected residents, should evacuations become necessary.
Barangays have been advised to coordinate closely for evacuation efforts and remind residents to stay indoors during heavy rains. Forced evacuations may be implemented under City Ordinance No. 11-2012, which allows early evacuation during emergencies.
The city also recently launched the Key Mobile Jeannie Services (KMJS), a fleet of mobile units offering free access to showers, laundry, charging stations, clean drinking water, hot meals, and medical assistance.
These mobile units are part of Malabon’s disaster response and public awareness efforts.
City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete called on residents to stay alert and monitor updates from official city channels.
He urged Malabueños to stay alert and to follow official city updates online.
“Our city government is always ready, but we need everyone’s cooperation.
For emergencies, residents may contact the AHON 24/7 app or the Malabon Command and Communication Center (MCCC) through the following hotlines:
