A fire razed a house in Sta. Cruz, Manila, on Friday morning, July 18, during heavy rains brought by Tropical Depression "Crising," causing more than P100,000 worth of damage.

The property, located along Kalimbas Street, is owned by Cherry Say and was being rented by Gary Ramos.
According to the Manila Police District (MPD), the fire started at around 6:56 a.m.
The first alarm was raised at 6:59 a.m. and escalated to the second alarm at 7:10 a.m.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 7:44 a.m. and extinguished it at 7:59 a.m.
No injuries were reported, while around 20 families were affected.
Only one structure was damaged.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Manila Fire District’s Arson Investigation Section.
