Maid, painter electrocuted to death

BACOLOD CITY – A maid and a painter were electrocuted to death in Barangay Talacagay, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental on Thursday morning, July 17.
The victims were a 36-year-old woman from Basay, Negros Oriental, and a 40-year-old man from Hinoba-an.
Police Major Jaynick Bermudez, Hinoba-an police chief, said the woman was hanging wet clothes when the clothesline touched a grounded wire and was electrocuted.
The painter working in a shop near her witnessed the incident and assisted the woman but he too was electrocuted.
The victims were declared dead in a hospital.
