3 nabbed in Taytay buy-bust op; over P800,000 shabu seized

Three high-value individuals (HVIs) wanted for illegal drugs were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro, Taytay, Rizal, on Wednesday night, July 17.

The suspects were identified as alias Weng, alias Nizel, and alias Kenneth. Both Weng and Nizel are tagged as illegal drug pushers in the region.
Based on the police report, operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Taytay Municipal Police Station launched a buy-bust operation against Weng and Nizel inside their house.
As the officers were waiting for the go signal from the police poseur buyer, Kenneth was caught in the act of buying shabu from the two suspects, prompting the police to commence the arrests.
The arresting officers recovered 120 grams of shabu valued at P816,000 from the three suspects along with additional drug paraphernalia.
The suspects were brought to the Taytay Municipal Police Custodial Facility while illegal drug charges are being filed against them.
Police Regional Office CALABARZON (PRO CALABARZON) regional director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky lauded the officers for the successful arrests of the three, saying the operation is a testament to the police force's unwavering commitment in ensuring the safety of the community and curbing the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
