2 nabbed for stealing e-bikes in San Juan

Two persons were arrested for stealing e-bikes in Barangay Salapan, San Juan City, early Thursday morning, July 17, the San Juan City Police said.
The suspects were identified as alias Hanz, 23, and alias Mimay, 25, both residents of Tondo, Manila.
Based on the police report, the two suspects arrived by tricycle at the place where the two e-bikes were parked and tried to access the vehicles by using scissors.
Unknown to them, watchers of Barangay Salapan saw their act through the barangay's CCTV system, prompting the officials to immediately call for police help.
Responding San Juan PNP officers saw the two escaping toward the direction of Aurora Boulevard onboard the e-bikes. A short chase ensued.
Police recovered the two e-bikes from the suspects, each worth P79,300, and the scissors they used.
Hanz and Mimay are currently detained at the San Juan PNP Custodial Facility while the necessary charges are being readied against them.
