Robbery suspect nabbed, mauled by bystanders

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A robbery suspect was apprehended and mauled by bystanders after attempting to steal from two people here on Monday, July 14, using a pellet gun.
Police said the suspect allegedly attempted to rob two victims, one of whom is an employee of a commercial mall.
The suspect threatened the victims with a gun and declared a holdup.
He assaulted one of the victims and attempted to flee but was confronted by two concerned civilians who assisted in detaining him until law enforcement arrived.
The suspect was identified as Radzmer Sacandal of Barangay Zone 4 in the Petit Barracks area.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
