BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office confiscated over P94.58 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 373 drug suspects from January to June.
The City Anti-Illegal Drugs Monitoring Center said 300 anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted from Jan. 1 to June 30.
Police Col. Joeresty Coronica, Bacolod police director, said 13,694 grams of suspected shabu valued at P93.12 million and 12,166 grams of marijuana worth P1.46 million were recovered.
Coronica said 281 suspects were classified as drug pushers, 90 were users, and two were minors. Five-hundred seventy-two cases were filed in court.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit seized P17-million worth of drugs in Barangay Estefania in May and P10.44 million in Barangay Mansilingan in June.
Coronica said that these accomplishments highlight the unwavering commitment of the BCPO to rid the city of illegal drugs and hold accountable those who threaten public safety.
