The removal was completed within 24 hours after the mayor ordered its clearing.
The action was in line with the city’s ongoing efforts to reclaim public roads from illegal structures and ensure that all spaces serve the greater good.
Domagoso also joined Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Atty. Don Artes at the Manila Yacht Club on Roxas Boulevard for the opening of a newly installed floodgate and trash trap system.
The joint project between the MMDA and the Manila City government aims to reduce flooding and prevent garbage from entering the city’s sewer system, particularly during heavy rains.

According to the mayor, large amounts of waste have been observed coming from areas around Dolomite Beach and washing into canals, contributing to clogged waterways and frequent flooding in nearby communities.
In a separate response to a citizen complaint, the City Electrician’s Office, led by Engr. Randy Sadac, carried out immediate repairs on non-functional streetlights around the University of Santo Tomas area.
The complaint, which was sent directly to the mayor via social media, led to the prompt deployment of workers to improve lighting and public safety in the area.
Domagoso expressed his gratitude to both the concerned netizen and the city's electrical team for their cooperation and action.
