BYD offers pink Seagull in support of cancer awareness

BYD Cars Philippines, the distributor of BYD passenger vehicles under ACMobility, has introduced a new variant of its best-selling electric hatchback with the launch of the limited-edition Seagull in Seashell Pink. The new variant was unveiled during the BYD Tech Tour at SM North EDSA and is priced at ₱958,000.

It provides support for cancer awareness through its partnership with Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, a facility under AC Health and the first dedicated cancer hospital in the country. BYD Philippines has committed proceeds from the sales of the limited edition to support the Cancer Care Hero Fund. This fund helps provide diagnostics, treatment, and wellness support for cancer patients in the Philippines.
Targeted primarily at young, first-time EV buyers, the Seashell Pink Seagull adds a more expressive visual identity to the brand’s most affordable EV model. It features a 30 kWh BYD Blade Battery that delivers a range of up to 300 kilometers. The model also supports DC fast charging and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, making it suitable for both urban commutes and emergency power needs. Inside, it is equipped with a minimalist cabin and a 10.1-inch rotating infotainment display.

“The Seagull has always excelled in practicality and ease of use. This limited-edition Seashell Pink model adds a personal touch for younger drivers and offers a chance to support something meaningful,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.
Globally, the BYD Seagull has become the fastest-selling electric hatchback since its debut just over two years ago, with over one million units sold. The new variant aims to build on this success while incorporating a localized advocacy component that reflects BYD’s commitment to social impact.
Additional perks for buyers include wellness discounts from AC Health, such as ₱5,000 off HealthCheQ Premium and Premium Plus packages, 10% discounts on vaccinations from Healthway VaxHub, and 10% off selected women’s cancer screening services including breast ultrasound, mammograms, pap smears, and HPV DNA testing. Each unit also comes with a co-branded pink golf umbrella and a Cancer Care pledge sticker.

With this new variant, the company reinforces its commitment to offering practical and purposeful EV options for a growing local market increasingly aware of both environmental and social issues.
