No change in Muntinlupa public high school's name - Biazon
Mayor Ruffy Biazon and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Muntinlupa refuted claims on social media that the name of a public high school in Muntinlupa was changed.
Biazon and the SDO said the name of Muntinlupa National High School (MNHS), located in Barangay Poblacion, was not changed to One Muntinlupa National High School.

“In response to a malicious social media post spreading false claims, we wish to set the record straight. There has been no change whatsoever to the official name of Muntinlupa National High School. The institution remains duly recognized by the Department of Education under this name,” the SDO Muntinlupa said.
MNHS uses the name “One Muntinlupa National High School” for its Facebook page.
“The school’s official Facebook page, One Muntinlupa National High School, uses the word ‘One’ purely as a symbol of unity and collective purpose, echoing the *DepEd NCR slogan One NCR, Stronger Together*. This branding initiative does not constitute any legal or official renaming of the school,” it said.

It added, “We strongly urge the public to seek information only from official sources and remain vigilant against misleading or malicious content online. The Schools Division Office of Muntinlupa stands firm in upholding the truth and calls on everyone to help counter disinformation in our community.”
In a Facebook live broadcast, Biazon denied ordering a change of the name of MNHS, saying that the online post was malicious and politically motivated, aiming to get people angry at him.
“Obviously pulitika. Wala nang ibang dahilan. Obviously ginastusan (Obviously politics. There is no other reason. Obviously it was funded),” he said.
The malicious post on MNHS was being linked to his political party, One Muntinlupa, he said.
MNHS was established in 1945 as Muntinlupa High School.
