Muntinlupa LGU announces temporary road closure for drainage construction

The Muntinlupa City government announced the temporary closure of a major road for the construction of a drainage system aimed at easing flooding during heavy rains.
Bruger Street across the Muntinlupa City hall in Barangay Putatan will be closed for two and a half months starting July 15 to September 30.
“Following the public information activity conducted on July 2, 2025, and as agreed upon by the City Government, Barangay Putatan, and the affected residents, the road closure of Bruger Street shall take effect from July 15, 2025, until September 30, 2025,” the Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau said in a notice.
It added, “This is intended to provide ample time for residents and motorists to make necessary adjustments, and to facilitate the proper preparation of the site for the implementation of the temporary traffic management scheme.”
The city government advised motorists to take alternate routes during the construction period.
The area near the city hall experiences flash floods during heavy rains, including last July 8.
