Manila Water to complete Angono pipelaying works by Q3
Razon-led Manila Water Co. is nearly done with its mainline extension pipelaying project in Angono, Rizal, which would benefit thousands of residents in the area by the third quarter of 2025.
In a statement on Monday, July 14, Manila Water said its ₱24.4-million investment for the project is expected to address the water situation in barangays San Isidro and Kalayaan, as the majority of their residents are relying on informal water sources.
According to Manila Water, the project will install 300 water service connections and one bulk water service connection. This, alongside linear pipe works that commenced in February, would enhance the distribution network, ensuring consistent water delivery to households.
It is also anticipated to meet the 1.4 million liters per day (MLD) water demand, as Jeric Sevilla, Manila Water’s corporate communication affairs director, highlighted the benefits this project would bring to Rizal province.
“This project is more than just laying pipes—it’s about laying the foundation for healthier, more resilient communities. By bringing water directly to over a thousand households in Angono, we are fulfilling our mission to make clean, safe water accessible to every Filipino family,” he said.
Other significant advancements within the company include the acquisition of the recently completed Wawa dam through a ₱37.8-billion purchase from Razon-led Prime Infrastructure Inc.’s WawaJVCo Inc.
