A total of 15 families or 45 individuals lost their homes in a fire that hit a 2-story residential building in Makati City early Sunday morning, July 13, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
Based on the incident report, the fire that hit Barangay Bangkal started at around 12:42 a.m. and was declared fire out at 1:24 a.m.

Firefighters initially had difficulty in extinguishing the blaze as the structures were made of light materials.
Witnesses said the fire started at the 2nd floor of the building and pointed at faulty electrical wiring as the possible cause.
According to one of the victims, her grandchild woke her up after seeing the fire from outside of their house, prompting them to immediately evacuate.
No one was reported hurt or killed in the incident.
Arson investigators placed the amount of damage to property at around P300,000. They are still investigating the cause of the fire.
