100 body cameras for Manila traffic enforcers, new dental equipment for Baseco hospital

The City of Manila has acquired 100 body cameras for use by its traffic enforcers to enhance transparency and accountability on city roads.
The body cameras, donated by the Canton Chamber of Commerce Philippines, aim to document interactions between traffic personnel and motorists.
City officials said the devices will assist in monitoring conduct, recording potential traffic violations, and providing video evidence in cases of dispute.

The cameras have been distributed to enforcers throughout the city.
According to Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, the donation was made possible through the support of Canton Chamber President Kevin Lim, Vice Presidents Blues Chua and Leo Lai, and members Wu Guang Tao, Zhang Jia Ming, Cai Fengrui, and Weijia.
Meanwhile, the Baseco Hospital’s Dental Department received new equipment and supplies intended to improve dental care services.

The donations included one dental unit and chair, a dental compressor, a set of surgical forceps, an ultrasonic scaler, a handpiece, and a full set of dental instruments.
The equipment was donated by Frederick Siy of Powerhouse, Jason Yu of JLY Company, and Azer Almodal of Ezra Dental. Additional support was provided by Colgate-Palmolive Philippines, which contributed 10,000 dental hygiene kits and Colgate gift packs.

The donation was coordinated by Dr. Joan Carbonell, head of the Manila Health Department’s Dental Section.
City officials expressed appreciation to the donors, citing the contributions as support for ongoing efforts to improve public service delivery and healthcare in Manila.
