Wayward van kills 2 women in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – Two women were killed and three others were injured by a wayward van in Barangay Irisan here on Saturday night, July 12.

The fatalities were aged 35 and 60. Injured were two children of one of the fatalities aged nine and three and a 34-year-old woman.
Police said that the victims were walking when a parked van rolled away due to an improperly engaged handbrake.
The victims were taken to a hospital where two of them were declared dead.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong has ordered social and health workers to provide assistance to the victims.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
