Kapuso broadcast journalist Emil Sumangil is back on track as he reassured his supporters that he is okay and is alive.

In a video uploaded by GMA Public Affairs, the "Resibo" host thanked his supporters who sent their messages to him.

A few days ago, Emil's wife, Michelle Sumangil, posted on Instagram asking for help and prayers for his husband's safety. She did not elaborate.

"Unang-una, taos puso po akong nagpapasalamat kasama na po ang aking mga kasama dito GMA Public Affairs, dahil po sa pagpapadala ninyo ng mensahe, kinakakamusta ako, kung nasaan daw po ako, at nawala daw po ako sa ibang programa. Ako po ay nagbakasyon lamang. (First of all, I sincerely thank you, including my colleagues here at GMA Public Affairs, for sending me messages, asking how I was, asking where I was, and asking if I had disappeared from another program. I was just on vacation)," Emil said.

Disclosing that he was on vacation, Emil also mentioned not to worry about the news speculating regarding his safety because he is very much alive.

"Kabaliktaran, sa ilang naglalabasan sa social media. Ako po ay buhay na buhay. Pero ang mensahe na ito ay para sa inyo, nais ko pong magpasalamat dahil yung pag-aalala po ninyo ay nakakataba ng puso. (On the contrary, to some of the news that's been spreading around social media. I am very much alive. But this message is for you, I want to thank you because your concern is heartwarming)," he said.

At the end of the video, Emil said that he was safe and that he would get back and continue his service of bringing truthful news.

"Nasa ligtas po akong kalagayan, sa awa at sa kalooban ng mahal na diyos ama. Gagawin ko po ang nararapat para sa ating mga kabababayan alinsunod po ulit ng mahal na Diyos Ama. (I am in a safe situation, by the mercy and will of our dear Father God. I will do what is right for our countrymen, again according to our dear Father God)"
