Chinese national arrested for possession of grenade in Pasay City
A 33-year-old Chinese national was arrested for illegal possession of a hand grenade in Pasay City on Saturday, July 12.

Pasay City Police chief Col. Joselito De Sesto identified the suspect as Long Lin, 33, an employee of Bitcoin Trading and a resident of Parañaque City.
Lin was arrested by personnel from Pasay City Police Substation 1 at around 5:30 a.m. along Roxas Boulevard Service Road.
According to authorities, a concerned citizen reported seeing a Chinese man inside a green car and provided the vehicle’s plate number. The citizen claimed the man was carrying a hand grenade kept inside a Louis Vuitton pouch.
Police immediately responded and found the vehicle parked. They asked to inspect the pouch bag that Lin was holding, but he refused.
One of the officers managed to open the car’s front door, retrieve the pouch, and confirm the presence of a hand grenade inside.
The suspect was brought to the Pasay City Police custodial facility and is now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9516, or the Illegal Possession of Explosives law.
