A drug suspect was arrested for allegedly robbing and raping a 22-year-old massage therapist inside a condo unit in Pasig City on Friday, July 11.
Authorities said the suspect, identified as “Dex," was collared during a follow-up operation conducted by the Pasig City Police Station and Rosario Police Sub-Station 7.
The operation was launched after the victim filed a complaint against him.
According to the victim, the suspect booked her for a home service massage at a rented condo unit in Barangay Maybunga. Upon arrival, she noticed a piece of aluminum foil near the entrance, which she suspected was drug paraphernalia. Despite her concern, she proceeded with the massage.
She added that the suspect was acting suspiciously, appearing anxious and repeatedly glancing out the window.
The victim claimed she was raped after losing consciousness from a drink offered by the suspect.
She recalled waking up naked, with her belongings scattered around the room. Her cellphone and wallet, which contained identification cards and cash, were missing.
With the help of the unit's owner, they immediately reported the incident to the authorities, prompting an operation that led to the arrest of Dex and another man, identified as “Nani.”
Police confiscated from the suspects five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with a total weight of around 12 grams valued at P81,600. They also recovered the victim’s Samsung S10 cellphone.
Based on their investigation, Dex has an organized modus targeting massage therapists by using fake names and various identification cards.
Investigators from the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) are coordinating with a previous complainant who was also victimized by the suspect.
Meanwhile, authorities said Nani was also arrested on September 9, 2021, for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Both suspects are currently detained at the Pasig Custodial Facility and will face multiple charges, including rape, illegal drug possession, and robbery.
