The University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics (UP CHK) spearheads the promotion of handball in Philippine education through a groundbreaking partnership with the Philippine Handball Federation, Inc. (PHF).
Supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the Office of Extension Coordination of the OVCRD, UP Diliman, and the MVP Sports Foundation, this initiative is helping integrate handball into school-based physical education programs nationwide.
Two major events anchored this effort: the “Handball 101” workshop and the International Handball Federation (IHF) D-License Coaching Course held on April 5 and 6,and the “Handball 101” workshop with 45 participants under CIHF-nominated lecturer Dr. Nabeel Taha Alshehab and local expert Asst. Prof. Joanna Franquelli.
