Symphony Homes brings upscale suburban living to Pampanga
SMDC's first venture in horizontal development promises residential living with comfort, convenience, and community

With the unveiling of Symphony Homes, property developer SM Development Corporation (SMDC) is treading on different territory—one that is marked by its purpose of providing homes for Filipino families where they can live, move, and connect on the ground.
Highly attuned to the market's demand for suburban living, SMDC offers Symphony Homes, a 28-hectare horizontal residential development in Mabalacat, Pampanga. For over two decades, the property developer has been known as the real estate developer that brought vertical living to the heart of business districts, changing the way Filipinos experience condominium life.

“We’ve developed communities that brought everyday living closer to work, play, and progress,” said SMDC Executive Vice President Grace Sta. Ana during the brand’s launch event in Pampanga on July 5, 2025. “Now we want to build homes that bring people back to the ground—to community, to nature, to a life that feels deeply lived.”
“This is growth in a different direction,” shared Jessica Sy, SMDC Vice President and Head of Design, Innovation, and Strategy. “We’ve learned from years of vertical development that space, when designed right, shapes behavior. So, we asked ourselves, what happens when we give people more room, more greens, and more moments to breathe?”
In response, Symphony Homes reflects SMDC’s continued commitment to build and respond to the Filipinos’ lifestyle aspirations with a master-planned development, offering more room to move, more space to grow, and a deeper sense of home.
A total of 2,155 ready-made residential homes will be delivered in a gated, internet-ready community with 24/7 security and a CCTV system. With affordable and flexible payment terms, the target completion date is scheduled in the last quarter of 2029.
Aria's single attached home for more space and privacy
The Sonata townhouse is composed of four 2-story units with a gross floor area of 48 sqm and a lot area of 54 sqm, while Aria 2-story single attached houses have a floor area of 65.8 sqm and a lot area of 120 sqm. The units are harmoniously designed with subtle differences but offer the same comfort and convenience, from flexible layouts, wide front yards, to ample space for gardens.
Future residents can expect a professional property management team to handle the property maintenance and security. Shophouses will also be placed within the community.
“We named it Symphony Homes, following the nature of a symphony, where one can’t perform alone. You need individual parts to come together and create a symphony. So, when we designed Symphony Homes, we made spaces for intentional and chance encounters. By improving on the amenities, we want to make sure that we are replicating these moments, these chance encounters within the community,” shared Sy.
Co-working space where connections and ideas spark
Envisioned as the center of socialization and interaction, the amenity park will be the site of the clubhouse fitted with a lounge, co-working space, fitness gym, game room, function room, and pool area. The wide, walkable streets and bike lanes can also serve as social spaces for those chance encounters. A play area, exercise lawn, paw park, and community sports court will soon be added to the property.
Community development programs and events will be initiated to encourage a sense of unity and camaraderie in the neighborhood.
Part of the nature-based design solutions are neighborhood parks, where native tree species such as Balakat, Dau, Apalit, Betis, and Binunga will be integrated into the outdoor gardens.
A playground where kids can meet and play
The property is accessible from Clark International Airport, expressways such as McArthur Highway, NLEX, SCTEX, TPLEX, CLLEX, and soon from transport hubs such as PNR North Passenger and Subic Cargo Railways. The site also provides easy access to educational and cultural centers, entertainment hubs, and tourist destinations, such as those in New Clark City.
SMDC’s initial and previous assessments found that the town of Mabalacat is generally flood-free; nevertheless, the developer took the necessary measures to build a flood-safe development. In case of flooding, signage and emergency exits will be in place, as well as areas where water can flow and be contained. The company is also committed to training on-site personnel on proper disaster response.
