After a six-year hiatus, Richard Gutierrez has eagerly shared his thrilling news about returning to the silver screen.

In an exclusive interview, Richard revealed that he’s set to begin filming for an exciting new movie in just a month.

“I’m thrilled to be back on the big screen,” he said. Richard, who has also captivated audiences as part of the popular action series "Incognito," is set to bid farewell to the show as its gripping storyline comes to a close on the Kapamilya Channel in just a few days.

Portraying ex-military special forces agent Joseph Bonifacio in Incognito, Richard expressed his enjoyment of working with co-stars Daniel Padilla, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, and Ian Veneracion.

Richard cherished filming their missions in locations such as Palawan, Italy, Japan, Tacloban, and Marawi in Mindanao for their finale episodes.

“Hindi ko masabi kung ano yung paborito ko kong mission kasi every mission talagang pinaghirapan namin at naging exciting na experience for everyone. Every mission, habang tumatagal, mas nagiging close yung buong grupo. Not only the actors, but also the production. Mas nagagamay namin yung isa’t isa. And dito sa finale I think dito talaga nagbunga lahat, kumbaga lahat ng buwelo ng grupo namin. Dito namin ibinuhos. Dito namin nabigay. So, bittersweet yung finale namin. I think mag-eenjoy yung mga audience natin sa finale. Also nakakalungkot kasi ito na yung huli for season one. (I can’t say what my favorite mission is because every mission we worked hard for, and it was an exciting experience for everyone. As the mission progressed, the whole group became closer. Not only the actors, but also the production. We got along better with each other. And here in the finale, I think it paid off, like all the energy of our group. This is where we poured it out. This is where we gave it. So, our finale was bittersweet. I think our audience enjoyed the finale. It’s also sad because it’s the last one for season one)," said Richard, during the presscon for 'Incognito' held in Quezon City last June.

Following his exciting venture in 'Incognito,' Richard is set to blend work with leisure as he embarks on a journey to London for a Filipino event on Aug. 2.

Over the past five years, Richard has immersed himself in a whirlwind of high-octane projects, starting with the acclaimed 'FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.' This was followed by his gripping role in 'The Iron Heart,' and most recently, the thrilling 'Incognito.'

The charismatic actor draws inspiration from legendary figures in action cinema, such as the iconic Bruce Lee, Sylvester Stallone, and the suave characters of the James Bond series—heroes he cherished during his formative years. "I grew up watching them," Richard reminisces.

When asked if he misses exploring other film genres, a hint of nostalgia washes over him. "I long for the days of romantic comedies. I hope to step into one soon," he remarked.

Now, at 41, Richard shares his aspirations for dream projects within the realm of showbiz.

"There will always be dream roles or endeavors waiting around the corner. My character in 'Incognito' was a dream come true for me. I’ve always wanted to star in a period film set in the 70s," he revealed.

Having navigated the entertainment industry since childhood, Richard has plans to venture into production.

"Yes, that's part of my long-term vision. I see it as a way to give back and support the industry that has shaped me," he concluded.
