The Southern Police District (SPD) confiscated P3.4 million worth of shabu and arrested five suspects in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on July 10.
SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit, in collaboration with the Taguig police and District Intelligence Division, conducted the operation in Barangay Napindan, Taguig that led to the arrest of the five high-value individuals.
The main target, identified as Jam, a listed HVI-pusher and a known distributor operating across southern Metro Manila, was arrested along with George, Bailyn, Noorulhoda, and Monera.
Seized from them were 500 grams of shabu and various items related to the illegal drug trade.
The police confiscated from Jam about 100 grams of shabu, marked buy-bust money, and a cell phone.
George, Monera and Bailyn were found in possession of 50 grams of shabu each. Noorulhoda yielded 250 grams of suspected shabu concealed in a shoulder bag.
The five suspects are in police custody and will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“This operation is a strong statement of our commitment to the marching orders of our Chief PNP, Police General Nicolas D. Torre III, to cleanse our communities of illegal drugs and dismantle the operations of high-value targets,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting SPD district director.
