Man nabbed for alleged kidnapping, abuse of 2-year-old girl in QC

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, July 10, for allegedly kidnapping and abusing a two-year-old girl in Barangay Socorro, Quezon City.

Police identified the suspect as alias Luis, resident of Quiapo, Manila.

The police report said the victim’s mother reported her daughter missing at around 3:00 a.m. after noticing that she was gone while they were sleeping on the sidewalk.

Witness statements and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage helped authorities identify the suspect and locate his whereabouts.

Luis was arrested at around 7:00 a.m. in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.

The victim was immediately brought to Quirino Memorial Medical Center for medical examination.

The suspect will be facing charges of kidnapping under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code, violation of Republic Act No. 11648 (An Act Providing for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and violation Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
