Family problem pushes man to climb electric post in Manila

A man allegedly dealing with family problems climbed an electric post along Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo, Manila, on Thursday night, July 10.

According to barangay officials of Barangay 391, who were among the first responders, the man was making a scene before climbing the post at around 11 p.m. They said he was claiming that his partner had another lover.
Barangay personnel and officers from the Barbosa Police Station spoke with the man, assuring him that they were willing to listen and help with whatever problem he was facing.
After more than an hour, they were able to convince him to come down at around 12 a.m. on Friday, July 11.
He was later brought to Barangay 308 where he lives, and was spoken to by the barangay personnel after the incident.
