Filipina tennis star Alex Eala returned to the country for a well-deserved break before plunging back into action later this month.
Fresh off a superb campaign in Europe, the 20-year-old Eala shared a photo of her relaxing and enjoying a buko juice on her Instagram story Friday, July 11.
It is a much-needed respite for the Eastbourne Open finalist as she is set to compete in the upcoming National Bank Open in Canada which is slated from July 26 to Aug. 7. Top American players are projected to take part in the tournament, including Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, and Jessica Pegula, to name a few.
This would be part of Eala’s preparation for another Grand Slam appearance in the US Open starting Aug. 24 to Sept. 7.
The Filipina netter is expected to enter the main draw as she currently holds No. 56 spot in the WTA live rankings.
