Police arrested three men for stealing a motorcycle of a delivery rider in Taguig on July 11.
The suspects were identified as alias Renzo, 21; alias Jayson, 26; and alias Jestoni, 24. They were apprehended by the Taguig police at about 7 a.m. in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The police said the three suspects were arrested in less than 48 hours after the crime was reported.
A delivery rider, identified as alias Romeo, 32, reported to the police that his motorcycle was missing from outside his residence on July 10. After receiving the report, the Taguig police’s Substation 7 launched an operation.
The police arrested the suspects and recovered the stolen motorcycle.
The three underwent medical exams at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital and are now under police custody.
They will face a complaint for violation of Republic Act 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016).
“This arrest serves as a direct reflection of the Philippine National Police's ongoing commitment to Chief PNP Torre's 3-minute response time initiative, which prioritizes swift police action and community safety,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, Southern Police District’s acting district director.
