MPV crashes into concrete barriers in Makati

Motorists experienced heavy traffic along EDSA-Estrella in Makati City after a black Toyota Avanza multipurpose vehicle (MPV) crashed into several concrete barriers of the EDSA bus carousel on Thursday, July 10.
According to the authorities, the driver of the MPV claimed that he tried to evade another vehicle that cut into his lane, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and hit the barriers at around 5 a.m.
He was unhurt.
The accident caused heavy traffic in the area, which reached the part of the Guadalupe Bridge in Makati.
The lane of the bus carousel was also temporarily closed due to the debris from the destroyed barriers.
The wreckage of the MPV was removed by the towing unit of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at around 5:38 a.m., easing the flow of traffic in the area.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
