Muntinlupa LGU launches pet cremation service

The Muntinlupa City government is now offering pet cremation services for pet dogs and cats.
The Office of the City Veterinarian Muntinlupa City announced on July 9 the service, stating,
“Maaari nang mag-avail ng ating abot kayang pet cremation service ang mga may namaalam na mga alagang aso at pusa (Those who have lost their pet dogs and cats can now avail of our affordable pet cremation service),” the office stated.

For the cremation service only, the rates based on weight are:
1 to 10 kg - P2,500
11 to 20 kg - P3,500
21 to 30 kg - P4,500
31 to 40 kg - P5,500
41 to 50 kg - P6,500
51 to 60 kg - P7,500
An additional P1,000 per kilo in excess of the maximum weight on the chart will be charged, the office said.
A cremation package is also being offered consisting of a viewing ceremony, basic memorabilia set, cold storage, soft copy of photos and handover of ash.
Muntinlupa residents will be given a P500 discount upon submission of proof of residency.
