Las Piñas LGU suspends face-to-face classes due to Habagat

Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar ordered the suspension of face-to-face (F2F) classes in all public and private schools due to heavy rains experienced in Metro Manila on Tuesday night, July 8, brought about by the southwest monsoon (Habagat).
Aguilar explained that the suspension of F2F classes was made upon the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), as some parts of the city suffered flooding due to heavy rains.
She also advised residents to visit the Facebook page of the Public Information Office (PIO) for other announcements from the CDRRMO regarding weather updates.
According to the advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Batangas, and other parts of the country, will experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds.
