Operatives from the Southern Police District-Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested three drug suspects tagged as high-value individuals during a buy-bust operation, confiscating more than P1.3 million worth of shabu in Pasay City on July 7.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD director, said the suspects -- Tol, 25; Gertrics, 34; and Samad,38 -- were apprehended at around 7:45 p.m. on Petunia St. in Rivera Village, Barangay 199, Pasay City.
Arceo said DDEU operatives, in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, used a poseur-buyer to transact with the suspects, leading to their arrest.
Seized during the operation were 50 grams of shabu from Tol, 100 grams from Gerticts, and 50 grams from Samad -- totalling 200 grams with an estimated street value of P1,360,000. Authorities also recovered the buy-bust money from the suspects.
The three were brought to the SPD-DDEU office and charged with violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Arceo said the successful operation reflects the SPD’s aggressive anti-drug stance and commitment to dismantling drug networks operating in Southern Metro Manila.
