The agency said inflation went down from four percent in January to 0.6 percent in June.
Inflation rate was 3.1 percent in February, 2.6 percent in March, 1.8 percent in April, and 1.5 percent in May.
June would be the second month the PSA did not include Negros Occidental province and Bacolod City as they now belong to the Negros Island Region (NIR).
The PSA-6 said inflation went down in June due to the drop in the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels from 4.7 percent in May to one percent, and food and non-alcoholic beverages from 0.5 percent in May to 0.3 percent in June.
