Actor Wilbert Ross has so many things on his plate right now as he renewed his contract with Viva Artist Agency.

Having portrayed a variety of well-received roles in Viva’s films and series, the actor-singer is ready to level up his career both in acting and music.

Wilbert is now poised to reprise his role as Arkin Sanchez—this time as a lead character—in the fifth installment of the hit University Series, Golden Scenery of Tomorrow, alongside Bea Binene, who plays Via.

Before taking on the role of Arkin, Wilbert appeared in several Viva productions, including the titular role in Boy Bastos (2022), Pagpag 24/7 (2024), Men Are from QC, Women Are from Alabang (2024), among many others.

But it was his portrayal of Arkin in the University Series where Wilbert truly made hisa mark, building a strong fanbase thanks to his onscreen chemistry with Bea Binene.

Their love team gained traction through Safe Skies, Archer (2023), Chasing in the Wild (2024), and Avenues of the Diamond (2025).

Now, Wilbert steps into the spotlight with his lead role in the series' much-anticipated fifth installment, Golden Scenery of Tomorrow, which centers on the blossoming love story of Arkin and Via, much to the delight of longtime fans.

Beyond acting, Wilbert is also set to rekindle his passion for music in this new chapter with Viva. Known for his heartfelt singles like “Di Ko Alam,” “Langga," “Makaluma," and his debut album LAMPARA under Viva Records, he is ready to charm audiences once again with a new collection of romantic and refreshing songs.

Wilbert also said that he was grateful to be part of 'Hello, Love, Again,' the biggest-grossing Filipino movie. "It's an honor to be part of a blockbuster movie.'

In the movie, he played the role of Kathryn Bernardo's brother. They never had live face-to-face scenes together, but he said it was exciting.

Wilbert also recalled the most outrageous rumor he had heard about him.

'Biglang na brought up yung pangalan ko out of nowhere sa parang issue na isang sikat na international singer na parang na 'booked' daw ako ng one night. (Suddenly, my name was brought up out of nowhere in an issue where a famous international singer supposedly 'booked' me for a one-night stand)," he said.

Wilbert continued: 'So sabi ko, 'Ha?' Si letter S. Saan nanggaling yun. So nakita ko sa mga comments sa Facebook, sa Reddit. (So I said, 'Huh?' It's the letter S. Where did that come from? So I saw it in the comments on Facebook, on Reddit.)

'Pero deadma lang ako. Wala naman kasi kaming any connection at all. Nakakatawa lang talaga. Nagtataka lang ako talaga saan nanggaling yun. Walang basis kung bakit na mention yung pangalan ko. (But I just ignored it. We don't have any connection at all. It's just funny. I'm curious where that came from. There's no basis for why my name was mentioned),' Wilbert said.

A multimedia artist, Wilbert can act, sing, and dance. Beyond these talents, the actor said he would be releasing a novel in August. 'It's a thriller. I wrote it during the pandemic.'

Wilbert said he enjoys singing, dancing, and acting. "I've been into these activities when I was a child. I'm happy doing these because if I'm burnt out with one talent, I can do the other.'

Asked if he was over with sexy projects, Wilbert said: 'Yes, po!' It was another phase in my life. Yung path na tinatahak ko malayo na sa dati.'

Wilbert said it was the management's advice for him to stop appearing in sexy projects. "May nakikita silang ibang path for me. Para na rin makapag focus ako sa music kasi minsan nakakalimutan ng mga tao na singer talaga ako eh. At least umangat man lang yung image ko na singer. (They see a different path for me. It's also so I can focus on music because sometimes people forget that I'm a singer. At least my image as a singer has improved.)'

He said he was proud of doing sexy projects in the past, which made him a confident person.

'Kung hindi ko ginawa yun, hindi ko maabot yung level na ito. Naging confident po ako dahil sa mga projects na yun. Newcomer pa lang ako noon pero ginawa na akong lead. So kailangan kong magsipag pero naka-adapt na yung body ko. (If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have reached this level. I became confident because of those projects. I was just a newcomer then, but I was made the lead. So I have to work hard, but my body has adapted)," Wilbert added.
