3 parked vehicles fired at, 1 set on fire in Tondo

A group of unidentified gunmen fired at three parked vehicles and set one of them on fire early Monday morning, July 7, along G. Santiago Street, corner R. Papa in Barangay Obrero, Tondo.

The Manila Police District (MPD) has not yet disclosed the names of the vehicle owners.

It said their investigators are currently reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from Barangay 189.

According to the MPD, four suspects riding two motorcycles were seen arriving at the scene at around 4 a.m.

One of the suspects was caught on camera smashing a car window before setting a black vehicle with license plate number NIM-2624 on fire.

Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the attack.

Investigation is ongoing and police are working to identify the suspects and trace their escape route through available footage.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
