3 hurt in Marikina gun factory explosion

Three employees of a firearms and ammunition manufacturing company were hospitalized after an explosion occurred inside its factory in Barangay Fortune, Marikina City on Monday, July 7.
According to the Marikina City Police, the explosion happened at around 2:43 p.m.
One of the worker reportedly lost both of his hands, another sustained chest injuries, while the third was struck in the eye.
Makati City Rescue 161 said the injured workers were brought to Amang Rodriguez Hospital for treatment and remain under observation.
Meanwhile, K-9 police units, Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) were immediately deployed to the scene to investigate the incident.
