Authorities confiscated over P1 million worth of suspected shabu and a firearm from three drivers during a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal, early Sunday, July 6.

The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) identified the suspects as “Bibidu,” 26, a taxi driver tagged as a high-value individual (HVI); “Balong,” 30, a delivery driver; and “Pusa,” 37, a tricycle driver.
The operation was conducted by the Taytay Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), in Barangay San Juan.
Authorities said the primary target, “Bibidu,” who was allegedly selling shabu, was immediately arrested following a transaction with a poseur-buyer.
“Pusa” and “Balong” were also arrested after being caught in the act of allegedly purchasing illegal drugs from the main target.

Police also recovered a caliber .22 revolver with two rounds of ammunition from “Balong.”
All suspects are temporarily detained at the Fishport Custodial Facility of the Taytay MPS and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
PRO 4A Director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky expressed gratitude for the successful operation, calling it proof of their relentless campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
He also reminded the public not to hesitate to report and cooperate with authorities to ensure a safe and orderly community.
