The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) has conducted risk assessment and security survey at the Bukidnon Airport in a bid to reinforce the airport’s security as early as the construction stage.
A team of risk assessors from the OTS Risk Assessment Division was deployed to lead the risk assessment.
Their focus was to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities and assist the airport operator in developing strategies to mitigate their effects on the transportation system.
On the other hand, a security survey was facilitated by aviation security auditors from the OTS Civil Aviation Security Division, to specifically address airport design requirements for general aviation, ensuring the new airport meets the unique security needs of this sector.
Located in Barangay Maray Maray in Don Carlos town, the Bukidnon Airport is on the right track to open this year.
