Kevin Quiambao is shutting out the noise as he hopes to keep his focus in putting in the work to get closer to his NBA dream.
The 24-year-old forward has been in the gym since arriving in Sacramento last Thursday, July 3, participating in scrimmages that also involved US NCAA standouts, G-League players and other overseas prospects looking to land a spot in the NBA Summer League.
Quiambao's trip to the US naturally generated online buzz although what's clear at this point is that the 6-foot-7 forward is still working his way to hopefully catch the attention of NBA assistant coaches and scouts who are still building their Summer League teams.
As of now, there is no offer yet for Quiambao in the Summer League which kicks off from July 10 to 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada, although he once shared a video of him playing together with fellow NBA hopefuls during a tuneup game organized by veteran trainer and agent Guss Armstead.
The De La Salle University standout is currently on a break from his team Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League.
He is coming off a splendid rookie season that saw him average 16.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 23 games.
