According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), the implementation was under the Resolution No. 332, Series of 2025, which prohibits vehicles coming from Montalban, Rizal from entering or turning left onto Soliven or Lunas Street.
Instead, motorists must proceed straight along Litex Payatas Road toward IBP Road.
Meanwhile, vehicles from Commonwealth Avenue heading to Montalban will also be affected. They will no longer be allowed to enter or turn right onto IBP Road.
Drivers were advised to stay along Commonwealth Avenue, then turn right to Soliven or Lunas Street before proceeding to the corner of Litex Payatas Road toward Montalban.
Motorists coming from IBP Road and bound for Montalban will also be rerouted by the new traffic scheme.
They will no longer be allowed to enter or turn right at the corner of Litex Payatas Road.
Instead, motorists must go straight to Commonwealth Avenue and turn right onto Soliven or Lunas Street before heading to Litex Payatas Road and onward to their destination.
Authorities urged all motorists to plan their routes in advance and comply with the new traffic regulations.
The city government also said that traffic enforcers will be deployed in the area to assist with the transition and ensure the smooth flow of vehicles.
The rerouting is part of the local government's initiative to ease traffic congestion, especially during peak hours, in the busy Litex-Payatas Road, the local government added.
