Lance Pimentel takes the spotlight with 'Incognito'
Lance Pimentel
Lance Pimentel is an experienced stunt choreographer and action director who has spent years working both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.
His most recent and significant on-screen project is the well-received Netflix series Incognito, in which he plays the character Kenji Lee. This role has generated interest among viewers eager to learn more about him.
Despite having limited acting experience, Lance shares the screen with a stellar cast, including Daniel Padilla, Maris Racal, Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Anthony Jennings, Baron Geisler, and many others.
He spent several months training the cast of Incognito, helping them navigate the show's physical and technical challenges. While mentoring them in action scenes, he also benefited from the guidance of his co-stars, who generously shared acting tips that contributed to his growth as an actor.
“Maraming tips akong nakuha just being on set and being off-cam. So the technicals of blocking and a bit of acting, natutunan ko na…I took a bit of acting workshop with Tita Malou De Guzman and talagang nirehearse ko yung mga lines ko…I have the cast members din naman to help me out, lalo na si Tito Ian [Veneracion]. (I learned a lot of tips just being on set and being off-camera. So, the technicalities of blocking and a bit of acting, I learned…I took a bit of an acting workshop with Tita Malou De Guzman, and I rehearsed my lines…I also have the cast members to help me out, especially Tito Ian [Veneracion]) Lance shared.
From a young age, Lance trained in wushu under his father’s guidance and eventually earned a place on the Philippine National Junior Wushu Team. After completing his competitive wushu career, he expanded his skills to include mixed martial arts, boxing, and Muay Thai. He even taught wushu before fully immersing himself in stunt work and choreography.
Lance discovered his passion for stunts at an early age while watching his father, Direk Lester Pimentel Ong, at work. At just ten years old, he made his first appearance in a fight scene on the hit TV series *Lastikman*, marking his entry into show business.
His professional experience includes work in both television and film. He had small acting roles in ABS-CBN’s *La Luna Sangre* and *Bagani*. Eventually, he discovered his true passion as an action choreographer and stunt director, starting with *One Good Day* and continuing with *The Iron Heart*, where he not only choreographed the action sequences but also made an on-screen appearance.
Lance is preparing to promote the upcoming Netflix movie The Delivery Rider, which stars Baron Geisler. Lance has contributed as both the stunt choreographer and action director. Produced by Studio 360’s creative team, the film tells the gripping story of a delivery rider who finds himself in a perilous situation and must fight his way to safety. He also appears, showcasing his skills in a fight scene.
Beyond the entertainment industry, Lance has a strong business acumen as the Chief Technology Officer of Binondo Food Group. He studied Business Technology Management at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He returned to the Philippines to actively participate in his family’s food ventures, which include popular brands such as Dean & Deluca, Rice in a Box, Kyukyu Ramen, and Wangfu, among others. Looking ahead, Lance aspires to build his brands and businesses while continuing to leave his mark in action filmmaking.
Lance is a man of many talents who enjoys a variety of hobbies, including pickleball, video editing, and music. With a creative spirit that flourishes both in front of and behind the camera, he envisions directing projects that combine his passion for storytelling with action.
Lance distinguishes himself from other talents with a unique combination of skills: expertise in action and stunts, along with entrepreneurial ambition.
