DAVAO CITY – Former President Rodrigo Duterte and ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman had an emotional reunion on Friday afternoon, July 4, at the International Criminal Court detention center at The Hague in the Netherlands.

Zimmerman replaced their eldest son, Davao City first district Rep. Paolo Duterte, in monitoring the former President's health and situation.
She provided updates on former President Duterte's condition, described their emotional reunion, and his lifestyle behind bars to Alvin & Tourism Facebook page and other Duterte supporters.
Zimmerman said she was happy to reunite with him after months of separation. She added that he is okay except that he has lost weight.
She said that he is no longer taking any medication. “He is healthy, but as an old man, he walks slowly,” she added.
Zimmerman said the 80-year-old former President finds the European summer uncomfortably warm. She added that he spends most of his time watching television inside his detention quarters.
Zimmerman said he asked about his hometown, Davao City, and their youngest son, acting Mayor Sebastian Duterte.
She thanked his supporters around the world and in The Hague. “He is happy, but he does not want to bother,” she said.
He remains composed and mentally alert, Zimmerman said.
Duterte was arrested earlier this year for alleged crimes against humanity.
