CEBU CITY – Suspected shabu worth more than P20 million was seized from a flower shop owner in Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu.
Merian Sancija Borkowski, 36, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in her home at 3:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 5.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA)-7 and personnel of the Naval Forces Central and Talisay City Police Station seized three kilos of suspected shabu worth P20.4 million.
The PDEA-7 said the businesswoman was monitored for a week before the operation materialized.
The suspect was capable of selling three kilos of shabu per week.
Her alleged areas of distribution include the tri-cities of Cebu City, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu.
PDEA-7 said further investigation will be conducted to determine the source of her supply.
