7 hurt as fire engulfs houses behind Mandaluyong school

Seven people were injured when a fire swept through a residential area in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City on Saturday, July 5.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the injured individuals included a 19-year-old who sustained a head injury, a 60-year-old woman who was found unconscious, three people with lacerations and abrasions, a 36-year-old hypertensive woman, and a 48-year-old woman who experienced numbness in her left hip and blurry vision.
They are all now in stable condition.
Based on the BFP's incident report, the fire, which destroyed several houses in Welfareville Compound located behind Nuebe de Pebrero Elementary School, began at 11:24 a.m.
It reached the second alarm at 11:33 a.m., the third alarm at 11:40 a.m., and the fourth alarm at 12:49 p.m.
Firefighters declared the blaze out at 3:49 p.m.
Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
