After nearly 18 hours, firefighters managed to put out the fire that broke out inside a warehouse in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on Friday night, July 4.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at around 7:19 p.m., was raised to the second alarm at 8:20 p.m., and escalated to the third alarm at 8:49 p.m.
The fire was initially declared out around 7:52 p.m., but while firefighters were conducting mopping-up operations, the blaze rekindled, prompting them to raise it to the second alarm.
Barangay Pinagbuhatan Councilor Jess Santos said the warehouse contained hardware items, including bathroom supplies.
The blaze caused heavy traffic after the local government issued a traffic advisory stating that, as of around 4 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, N. Cruz Street to Urbano Velasco Avenue remained impassable due to ongoing firefighting operations.
As of 10:30 a.m., the local government announced that Sandoval Avenue in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, specifically from N. Cruz Street to Urbano Velasco Avenue, was already passable to vehicles.
The fire was declared under control at around 6:38 a.m. and fully extinguished at 1:10 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
