Operatives from the Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested three drug suspects, listed as high-value individuals, during a buy-bust operation on July 3, seizing P133,076 worth of shabu.
Col Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspects as Tropa, Malyn, and Nino. They were apprehended at around 9:45 p.m. on Leonardo St. in Barangay 61, Zone 8, Pasay City.
De Sesto said members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) coordinated with SDEU for the operation. The suspects, listed in the police gallery, were reportedly involved in illegal drug activities.
Confiscated from the suspects were 26 small heat-sealed transparent sachets containing approximately 19.57 grams of shabu valued at P133,076, a black coin purse, buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.
The suspects are currently detained at the SDEU custodial facility and face charges for violating Sections 5 and 13, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The seized shabu was forwarded to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
