Assorted dangerous drugs were intercepted at the Port of Clark on June 24, authorities said Friday.
Recovered were 1,003 tablets of Ecstasy, 106 grams of cathinone (stimulant drug), and 116 grams of ketamine (hallucinogenic drug) from Paris, France used as anesthesia, with a total value of P2.4 million.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 3 received information from foreign counterparts regarding the shipment.
An interdiction operation and inspection were conducted that led to the discovery of the illegal drugs declared as animal food.
The PDEA said that the parcel was intended for delivery to Metro Manila.
A confirmatory test determined that the contraband was indeed illegal drugs.
