Paris Olympian Aleah Finnegan threw the ceremonial pitch in the Major League Baseball (MLB) match between her hometown team Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Mariners Thursday, June 3 (Philippine time).
The 22-year-old Finnegan wowed her spectators after doing an aerial stunt before pitching the ball to the Royals’ mascot Sluggerrr.
“Still flipping out over my time at @kcroyals,” Finnegan wrote on her Instagram post.
“Thank you for such a wonderful experience,” she added.
Recently, singer and actress Lea Salonga sang the US national anthem before the clash of the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels.
Actress Liza Soberano, for her part, made the pitch in the Los Angeles Dodgers-New York Mets match last month.
A few weeks after competing in the French capital, the two-time US NCAA champion was honored by Kansas City as its Sportswoman of the Year for 2024.
